This week I discuss with Michael about the layout of the whole environment. And finally, we got 6 different choices about it. We consider that the pound as center, and have various versions. Like only one big pound with a stage in the middle, one narrow pound and a large one with the bridge on it. For the market, have 2 choices, one is putted beside the Main building to form a large commercial area and another choice is to put them beside the gate. Overall, there are all kinds of different permutations. And I need test later (When import to UE5)

This week I made two small pavilions at the end of the promenade, these are for the articulation part of the promenade to the main building and make a nice transition between the two.
Oct. week4 Interior Design
Firstly, I build the 3d layout in Maya with 2 versions. Interior design refers to the design inside the main building. In the initial stage, I did a 3D scene layout plan in maya and made two versions. In the center of the first version is a circular floating stage, which does not resort to any external forces, but floats up and down on its own. On the right side of the first floor is a small bar with a lot of drinks, and the appearance of this bar is a “building within a building”, in other words, building a house inside a house, which is very common in southern China, and it is very distinctive, so I applied this design to my scene. On the left side of the first floor are a number of tables and chairs for guests to use while eating. I didn’t show it in the modeling, because the tables and chairs needed a more aesthetically pleasing 2D design in post. The whole building has eight load-bearing columns, and at the back of the stage is a screen, which is intended to block the staircase and make it another space. On the second floor are some rooms, inside which are the accommodations, and throughout the scene, these rooms will not be designed and modeled.(Because of the heavy workload) The second floor is designed with some doors and windows, and people on the second floor can look at the stage on the first floor from the fence, which makes the whole space bigger. For the second version, I changed the stage to a design with a pillar to support the whole stage to float. But after testing, it was found that the design was too large and not suitable for indoor use. And I changed the bar on the first floor to two, and the design of the second floor is not different from the first version, except that the staircase has been changed, from the original open staircase to a hidden staircase. In the end, after a lot of thought, I chose the first version because I felt that the elements in the first version were rich and the spatial proportions were harmonious.
